Committees

The Education and Promotions/Public Relations committees have been established and will venture forward to pave new ground for the WDSA.

Committee size is flexible and a variety of backgrounds are encouraged. The committee chair will be appointed for one year with board approval each year following.

Committees will meet primarily on-line through group emails.  Board members will be available to help answer questions, guide needs, and even serve on the committee. The following initial agenda items and goals for the committees have been established:

PROMOTIONS/PUBLIC RELATIONS

• Work to promote the WI Disc Golf Tour.

• Maintain state wide media contact list.

• Send press releases to area media for each WI Disc Golf Tour event.

• Submit articles of as many WI Tour tournaments as possible to our web site and area media.

• Suggest new website content to communicate your message.

• Work to promote WDSA.

• Maintain list and contact schools that have a club or curriculum for Flying Disc Sports.

WDSA is actively soliciting photos, videos and stories that detail the history of Wisconsin Disc Sports to be published online at http://widischistory.com. All flying disc sports will be represented including but not limited to: Ultimate, Disc Golf, Overall, Freestyle, Guts, K-9 and Double Disc Court.
