September 28, 2013 Check-in ends 8:30 AM Players meeting 8:30 AM Shelter #5 will be Tournament Central.
Vallarta Ast Disc Golf Course in Token Creek Park will be the course used and the Mad City Disc Golf club will serve as the local host. Shelter #5 is near holes 25, 26 & 27.
Camping is available in the park with two separate options, the RV campsite on a different plot of the park and the primitive group site which is right on holes 6 and 7. Both sites cost $$ with the group site less expensive at $5 per person per night.
Plan on lunch being available for a decent price on site between rounds of the Finale tournament. The host club has a proven track record of well-run events and is ready to serve and sponsor this event. The WI Disc Golf Tour will direct the format, award the tour winners and make sure there are at least four good vendors for a nice variety of prize options for the amateurs and general public to purchase. A basket drawing will be held for WI Bag Tag owners. Anyone can purchase a tag.
Remember this is a qualifying event where points have been earned at the 15 tour stops throughout the year. The qualifier entry dead line is September 21, the week before the Finale. Look for the most current qualifying information at the end of the tour on this web site. If qualifying slots are not filled non-qualifying players can fill those slots first come first serve. We have 36 holes to fill so there will be at least 144 slots. You must have played in at least one WI Disc Golf Tour event and earned at least one point.
This year’s format will use the entire 27 hole course, plus 9 temp holes numbered 28-36. All will play 2 rounds of 18. Here is how the format will work;
Pool A Pros play mostly long tees.
Pool B Advanced play mostly long tees.
Pool C Intermediate, Recreation and Junior play short tees.
Modifications could be made at players meeting.
All players will play a round of holes 1-18 and a round of holes 19-36.

If you are interested in hosting the 2014 WI Disc Golf Tour Finale, contact any WI Disc Sports Association Board member. Your bid must include the host site, course/s and host club or group. The host is responsible for all park use reservations needed, securing a lunch option on site, securing toilets for 130 people, parking for 120 cars. Some sort of shelter is very helpful. The WI Disc Golf Tour will direct the tournament and all that goes with it. The host is welcome to enhance their bid proposal by securing local sponsorships or adding any type of social festivities that will be agreeable to the WI Tour directors. Directions to local lodging are a good addition.
